Lake Norman Half Marathon Series
The Lake Norman Half Marathon Series consists of four of the best half marathons held exclusively in the beautiful Lake Norman area, near Charlotte, NC.
“Lake Norman area” consists of multiple towns on Lake Norman – towns that include Hickory, Statesville, Troutman, Mooresville, Cornelius, Denver, Davidson, Huntersville, and Charlotte.
The races are strategically spread out from March until December, allowing athletes to participate in a race during their preferred season.
Series winners are determined by accumulating the highest number of points across any three of the four races. The top three male and female runners earn $300 each, and the top 10 receive awards.
This format encourages participation in multiple races and adds an extra layer of competition to the series.
When and Where Does it Take Place?
The series offers a variety of races throughout the year, each with its own unique theme and location. Before each race, participants can attend a pre-race webinar to receive valuable information and tips.

Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Mooresville, NC. The race starts and finishes at 126 Exmore Dr., Mooresville, NC 28117. Half marathoners need to be able to finish by 11 am (3.5 hours) due to traffic congestion. - Lake Norman Half Marathon & 5K
Sunday, May 12, 2024, in Mooresville, NC. The race starts and finishes at the Lake Norman Yacht Club, 297 Yacht Road, Mooresville, NC 28117. - Lake Norman Forest Run Half Marathon
